If one picture can be worth 1,000 words is this one...

Porto Rafti is an area not far from Athens. In an abandoned property (like so many in Greece) a group of volunteers built an outdoor shelter to keep street dogs away from harm, watch over them, feed them, look for homes. The work is hard, often thankless, long and endless. The small team of volunteers deal with so many issues including little to no support from the area, no money except for donations and their own.

Today I received more pictures of our precious residents and included was this one... It made me stop in my tracks and for a second put myself in those paws and wonder what they see and what will happen to them.

Welcome to our website and blog. You can help us. Thank you,
