AGAPI

She is 4 years old. She was taken to the shelter when she was only one when she was found on the streets, like most of the dogs at the shelter. She is very quiet and prefers to sit in a corner and watch the action. She is good with other dogs but is also scared of noises and people. She is now being trained to walk on a leash once a week.

APOLLO

This beautiful male needs a home. He is 7 years old. He went to the shelter in 2017. He is tender and loving with people; not so much with other dogs. He suffered from several illnesses so is constantly in need of medication but getting better.

ARAMIS

Born in 2015 and at the shelter since he was about 7 months old… too long! He is quiet and gentle. It takes him time to warm up to people but when he does, he is trusting and careful. He has an ear infection which is being treated now.

ARTCHI

Born in 2017 and lived in the streets of Porto Rafti since his birth. He was treated for Leishmaniasis for 2 years and waited at a kennel to be adopted but no luck so far. He does not like to be in a cage. He is playful and a good dog.The team needs more support to pay for his medicine.

ASTON AND KUTCHER

They were both found in 2020 when they were around 6 months old. The parents and other siblings had been poisoned by someone in the area. They were the only surviving siblings.
When they were found lingering near the corpses of their siblings and parents, they found that Kutcher had a broken leg and had been bitten by a street dog and has a broken leg. He was treated by a vet and is doing fine now.
Aston was diagnosed with leishmaniasis but a recent blood test shows he is now in perfect condition.
They are currently living with a host family and hope to find a forever family soon.

OSIRIS

He was brought to the shelter in 2020 along with his sister. He was traumatized in the streets and is weary of people. They team is working on him to help him trust again. He suffers from Ehrilichia (?) and needs medicine.

COOPER

This beautiful male has spend almost his entire life at the shelter. He is around 7 years old.

ERMIS

He is about 3 years old. He was found on a beach, roaming and begging for water and food. He would grab food from tourists at the beach… smart dog! but it got him in trouble with the municipality. He was saved from euthanasia by the team at the shelter. He weights 35 kg, a big boy! He seems to be getting better with people and other dogs. He is great on walks and on the leash. He loves to cuddle with people he trusts.

FOXY

Foxy is a great guard dog. Loves to play with other dogs at the shelter. What a chance for her. Better but not perfect. She was living on the streets of Porto Rafti before arriving at the shelter. She is probably 5 years old. She had Leishmaniasis but with medication is doing much better now.

GINA

Gina is a very smart dog. She loves people and dogs. She has been at the shelter since she was a puppy (one of the pups Kris and team saved from an abandoned house a few years ago). She is now two.

ISIS

She is about 2 years old. Very scared of people, probably traumatized by people in the streets. She was found as a puppy but the scars of living in the streets still haunt her. She was full of ticks but is receiving medication. So many of the dogs at the shelter need medicine and that is the reason we ask for support

KOSTAKIS

This beautiful male was found at an abandoned factory with another elderly stray who died days after back in September of 2021. He is super scared of people. He needs lots of love to bring the light back to his eyes.

LARRY

He is only 1 year old. Gentle and curious. Luckily he is sponsored while waiting for a home.

LUCKY

Lucky lived most of his life tied up on a yard until he came to the shelter. He is about 2 and 1/2 years old. He was in terrible shape when the team took him from that horrible situation. He had never been washed, combed, loved! He was full of ticks. He is now in treatment and ganging weight.

PETRO

He is a gentle and shy dog. He has been living at the shelter for too long. He is about 6 years old. Those eyes! You can see how sad he looks. The shelter can be a scary place for a shy boy like Petro. He needs a family to enjoy the rest of this life.

MANI

He is about 1 and 1/2 years old. Was hit by a car and left by the road. After being rescued by the team, he was operated but needs a second operation soon.

MARO

She is about 5 years old. Came from the streets, like most of the dogs at the shelter. She had scabies but today is healthy. She is docile, easy to take for walks, good with other dogs and people. Loves children. She is neutered and ready for a home

NIREUS

At shelter since 2020 when he was found with his brother Perseus. They are being trained and doing well. They are a bit scared of people, poor boys! but doing much better since they arrived at the shelter.

SUNNY

Has now been at the shelter since 2020. She is a small dog and weights about 10 kg. She is around 3 years old.

TOBY

He is 2 years old and was abandoned by his family. Found in the streets of the area and now at the shelter. Gentle.

PERSEUS

Found in 2020 as a pup with his brother Nireus. They are being trained and doing well. They are a bit scared of people, poor boys! but doing much better since they arrived at the shelter.
